From the Archives: Kiyomizu-dera Buddhist Temple, Kyoto, Japan
I dropped the Photo a Day ball yesterday, but have no excuse other than just to much stuff going on in real life to find time for virtual life. Nothing epic or bad or anything. Just busy. Mates visiting from Ireland and whatnot.
Anyway, here’s another one from deep in the archives, going back all the way to 2001. For a bit more on why I was here and some links, see this previous post on Kiyomizu-dera.
Blast from the Photographic Past: Kiyomizu-dera, 2001
Reached way into the way-back files for this one. While on a business trip to Japan for Semicon Japan in 2001, I spent several days vacation time after the show exploring Tokyo and the surrounding environs. This included a day-trip to Kyoto, thanks to a Japanrail pass and high-speed bullet trains.
This is one of the buildings on the temple grounds of Buddhist temple Kiyomizu-dera. Or if you prefer, there’s Wikipedia.
